Pictured above is a very large green and pink hammer coral (Euphyllia ancora). Normally the color of the fleshy polyps is solid green, but under VHO lighting they seem to have turned a slight pink, keeping their green tips.

Neon Green Kryptonite Candy Cane
Though this particular “colony” only consists of four individual heads, I still love this picture. The neon green candy cane, also called Kryptonite candy cane, grows moderately fast provided the conditions are just right. It’s not uncommon to see huge colonies in well established aquariums.
Red Lava Chalice
This red lava chalice was photographed during a MARSHReef tank tour. The chalice was purchased as a “no-name” chalice, but it is clearly a gem worthy of one of those fancy names that cause the price to skyrocket.
Neon Orange Pavona Maldivensis
This is one of my favorites…a neon orange Pavona maldivensis. This coral is usually pretty expensive, fetching up to $50 an inch. This colony is vibrant orange-pink and positively glows under actinic lighting.
