Clams usually look better when viewing them from above, but this shot from the side doesn’t look all that bad. The Tridacna derasa clam is one of the larger species of clam and doesn’t have the lateral scutes usually found on the sides of T. maxima or T. squamosa. Instead, it has very smooth sides.

Pictured is a vibrant blue Tridacna maxima clam. This clam was certainly a favorite among people who visited it.  They were in awe of the color of the clam as it stood out against a live rock and live sand background.

Here’s a picture of a gorgeous blue tuxedo sea urchin. These guys are very interesting to watch, but they can be a pain in the butt. They cover themselves with rocks and will occasionally carry off frags or knock over rocks.
